Voiceover Artist and Narrator Mason Yi

Meet the Artist

I grew up in the Deep South, but lived in New York for a number of years. This enables me to slip in and out of Northern and Southern accents. I pursued a career as a professional golfer before attending law school and becoming an attorney. As an attorney, I have read and researched legal issues extensively and am comfortable with complex terminology. My parents are great singers and I was lucky enough to inherit their pipes. My natural voice is an authoritative yet friendly tone that reassures clients and readers alike. In addition to pre-law, I also studied pre-med in my undergraduate studies and am comfortable with medical/scientific terminology. But I took a Shakespearean class one summer and pivoted to major in English literature. Acting out books in that class is what ultimately lead me to becoming a narrator.

I believe we should use our talents to help others and contribute to a better world. Everyone learns differently and being able to present information in an audible medium could change someone’s life. I wasn’t allowed to watch TV as a child, so I read every book I could get my hands on in our town's library. Now, I love to watch actors who bring a character to life and strive to do the same through my narration. I continue to read as much as I can and you can most often find me lost in a good book, whether it's self-improvement or sci-fi/fantasy. To be able to read into a microphone is a dream come true.
